What does an ELD need to be FMCSA approved?

To certify an ELD with the FMCSA, the device provider must follow a registration and certification process established by the agency. This generally involves meeting the technical and performance requirements set by the FMCSA. The provider must complete a self-certification process and provide the required documentation to validate compliance with FMCSA regulations.
